There is nothing more important than the safety of our children. We greatly appreciate administrators, coaches, referees, and volunteers’ roles in offering youth athletes from all backgrounds the opportunity to play soccer. An integral part of these roles is taking steps to ensure the safety of the participants. Collectively, we are responsible for providing a playing environment that is healthy, non-threatening, and free from emotional, physical, or sexual abuse.
The only way to ensure compliance is for all members to follow the same Risk Management requirements for the safety and well-being of all participants.
Risk Management Training requirements include:
SafeSport
SafeSport online training to be better equipped to prevent, recognize, and report abuse.
Concussion Training
CDC’s Heads Up Concussion Training course to help coaches spot signs of concussions and how to take action.
Background Checks
Mandatory background checks to protect our young athletes and make player safety a top priority.
Grassroots License
A Grassroots Coaching License is required to foster a better experience for our kids and to help them grow and develop their skills.
Reporting Abuse
You don’t need to be an athlete to report abuse and misconduct—we take reports from coaches, parents, administrators, and all others who experience or know of relevant conduct. Nor do you need to have experienced it personally. If you know someone whom you suspect may be experiencing abuse, report it here.
