US Bid for the 2018/2022 World Cups
The Game Is In US!

NYC is one of the candidate host cities in the US Bid for the 2018/2022 World Cups. We are sending out an email blast to throughout the tri-state region to encourage players and their families to sign the online petition supporting the US bid. The goal is to have 1 million signatures before December 2, which is the date that FIFA will decide the host nations. Click here for link

 

Syosset Sting Takes Second At Girls U-17 Nationals

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas -- The Syosset Elite 92 Sting took second place at the U.S. Youth Soccer Girls Under-17 championships on Sunday. The Sting lost to the So Cal Blues Dodge, 1-0.

Thibdeau, Palmiero, Catalioti, Tramontozzi, inducted into ENY Hall

 The Eastern New York Soccer Hall of Fame has four new inductees. Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association secretary Lynne Thibdeau, Region I director Bob Palmiero, long-time college coach Carlo Tramontozzi and referee Nino Catalioti were inducted during ceremonies in Franklin Square, N.Y. Saturday night. The Hall is a joint venture of Eastern New York State Amateur Soccer Association and ENYYSA.

ENYYSA To Offer Free Coaching Courses To Recreation Programs
State Association Will Conduct Youth Module Courses at Rec/Intramural Program Request

US Youth Soccer Association Region 1 Position on U.S. Soccer Development Academy Program
July 21, 2010

USYSA Region 1 has issued the following position on the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Program:

  1. Youth Soccer Region I Supports the Soccer Academy Program
  2. The Region I ODP program continues as constituted and will be enhanced.  
  3. The Region I ODP Cycle starts June 1 and continues to June 30 of the subsequent year and includes:

    ·        ODP Tournaments

    ·        Id & Development Camps

    ·        Inter-Regionals

    ·        International Trip

  4.  In order to participate in the Region 1 ODP program, a player must be eligible to participate for the entire ODP cycle or the balance thereof. 

    5.  A player must be registered with a ENYYSA affiliated League / Club in order to participate in the ODP Program (as per U.S.            Youth Soccer, Policy on Players and Playing Rules; Rule 203 and 201.

    6. Players participating in an Academy or Pre Academy Program, are  not eligible to participate in the State ODP Program.
